From saving my life to marrying an old flame and finding the love of my (many) past lives, dreams – whether my own or those of others – have been my guide for living my life, as well as creating my business.

However, occasionally dreams come during waking hours, rather than asleep – and this particular dream was one of those. It is in those moments that Spirit bids me to speak of what I see.

A good friend mentioned in a conversation that they had just signed a lucrative contract; nothing unusual there, since they were a successful businessman and singer.

However, what happened next was anything but usual; I suddenly stepped back mentally and saw an image in my mind’s eye – an article about a singer who had been left bankrupt because their trusted accountant stole their money.

Watching an Internal Movie

It was if I was watching a movie, and I suddenly came back into the conversation and heard myself saying,

“Don’t be like that singer who go fleeced by someone they trusted.”

My friend’s reaction was immediate, but subtle – a smile which froze and a mental withdrawal which I could feel.  There was a verbal protest as well,

“Oh, I trust everyone around me, no problems there!”

Are You Listening?

I said nothing more, and the mental image faded from my mind. I wrote down what happened in my journal and thought no more about it….

Until I heard that this same friend had legal troubles because family and business partners were engaging in illegal activities with the friend’s finances, which caused legal issues, hardship and near bankruptcy.

The friend never mentioned that fact to me – I found out through mutual friends and through other dreams that came later.

Often times Spirit will deliver a message that we are unwilling to hear – due to pride, arrogance or just the belief that we can’t receive messages from the universe.  Whatever it was that made this friend discount the message delivered – it was true and they paid dearly for ignoring the message.
